Aggieland Saturday FAQs
Who can attend Aggieland Saturday?
Anyone may attend. Aggieland Saturday is a campus-wide Open House with programs that will appeal to young and old alike. Current students, prospective students, former students and anyone wishing to learn more about Texas A&M University are welcome.
Do I need to register?
Registration is recommended but not required.
What does it cost?
Aggieland Saturday is free. You will want to bring money for lunch, parking and shopping at the bookstore.
Can I meet with an admissions counselor while on campus?
Admissions sessions will be scheduled throughout the day. Counselors will be available after the sessions to answer questions.
Are campus tours available and do I need to register for a tour?
Campus tours will be available at various locations on campus. Registration for campus tours is not required. Check the schedule for times and locations.
Do I need to check in at a specific location?
No, Aggieland Saturday is a self-guided program with no requirement to check-in. We recommend you look at the schedule and plan your day prior to arriving in College Station. Once you arrive on campus, simply start attending the sessions that interest you.

Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center (FR, SO, JR, SR)
Prospective students are encouraged to visit the Texas A&M University campus beginning the spring semester of their junior year in high school. The Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center can coordinate visits by scheduling campus tours, academic college meetings and group admissions presentations.
Chemistry Road Show (All)
The Chemistry Road Show is a public service program with two complementary and interlocking goals: To ENTERTAIN and EDUCATE students using chemistry. Using sensory impact, we hope students will learn that chemistry, unlike magic, is comprehensible. They already comprehend some of it — chemistry is a human activity, one that real people love and find exciting. Chemistry and chemicals, like any other kind of knowledge and technology, are safe and beneficial when used carefully and intelligently. Most of all, we hope students will remember the excitement and surprise they feel during our demonstrations.
Freshman Admission Sessions (FR, SO, JR, SR)
Prospective freshman students are encouraged to attend a Freshman Admission Session before applying to Texas A&M University. The sessions provide detailed information about the application process and ways to be admitted. Students will also have an opportunity for a Q&A session with an admissions counselor following the presentation. Students should attend a session before scheduling an appointment with a counselor. Spend the Night with the Corps (JR, SR)
Spend the Night with the Corps is an experience designed primarily for juniors and seniors in high school who are interested in participating in the Corps of Cadets while attending Texas A&M. For students who cannot participate in the full length of the program, the Corps of Cadets also offers a Spend the Day with the Corps program during the summer.
A&M Math Contest
The Mathematics Department hosts an annual math contest for high school students. Test your skills against competition from across the country!
Chemistry Open House & Science Exploration (All)
The Chemistry Open House features the popular Chemistry Road Show, guided lab tours, hands-on and computer activities, door prizes and science goodie bags. The Chemistry Road Show is recommended for all ages and includes demonstrations of popular science.
Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) (6th – 12th Grade)
EYH helps young women open new doors by continuing in their math and science classes and increase awareness of career opportunities in math- and science-related fields. Attendees get to engage with female role models in math, science and engineering careers.
Prospective Student Sessions — Home Football Game Weekend (FR, SO, JR, SR)
Going to an Aggie football game in College Station? Want to learn more about the freshman admission process at Texas A&M? The Office of Admissions will conduct Prospective Student Sessions every Friday before a home game. Space is limited and registration is required at least a week in advance. Sign up at tamu.edu/visitors.
Seniors Experiencing Aggie Life (SR)
Seniors Experiencing Aggie Life (SEAL) is a two-day program in which students see firsthand what being an Aggie is all about. Seniors meet with current students, learn about admission, financial aid and housing, attend a Texas A&M University football game and spend the night in student housing.
Spark Conference (FR, SO, JR, SR)
The Texas A&M Spark Conference is an engineering design competition hosted annually by the Texas A&M Student Engineers’ Council for K-12 students. The purpose of this conference is to increase student awareness, develop interest in engineering and provide exposure to Texas A&M culture and tradition.
The conference will host an impromptu design competition on-site for K-12 age groups, as well as a prebuilt team design competition, offered to high school teams only. The on-site competition is partnered with Texas A&M engineering societies and will feature a variety of engineering design challenges.
Engineering Project Showcase
The College of Engineering invites the public to celebrate the accomplishments of our undergraduate students at Engineering Project Showcase. Over 1,100 students share their team projects throughout the Zachry Engineering Education Complex, making it one of the largest Engineering Project Showcases in the country!Family Weekend (Current Aggies)
Family Weekend allows students to express their gratitude to those whom have impacted their lives. This is done through events that show the parents the essence of the Aggie Family.
Invent for the Planet
Innovative students from around the world participate in a 48-hour design challenge to solve some of the world’s most pressing issues. The College of Engineering invites the public to view an open showcase, learn more about these innovations and vote for their favorite.Physics and Engineering Festival
The Department of Physics & Astronomy and the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University invite the public to an entertaining and informative event. People of all ages will find funny, puzzling and fascinating hands-on experiments. Everyone is invited to participate.
With over 100 amazing, interactive physics demonstrations, specialized programs by age groups and public lectures by prominent scientists and astronauts, it’s no surprise that over 4,000 visitors annually come from across the United States to join in the excitement!
Society of Women Engineers High School Conference (FR, SO, JR, SR)
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) hosts a two-day conference in which students interested in math, science and engineering see firsthand the opportunities available to them in the field of engineering. The conference is open to all genders.
Texas Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (FR, SO, JR, SR)
The Texas Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (TJSHS) promotes original research and experimentation in the sciences, engineering and mathematics at the high school level, and publicly recognizes students for outstanding achievement. Texas JSHS provides an opportunity for Texas high school students to present the results of their original research in a professional arena.
Students who participate in the symposia also meet and exchange ideas, interact with practicing researchers and explore future academic and career opportunities. Texas JSHS Program is a research presentation event.
Whoopin' Weekend (SO, JR, SR)
The Whoopin' Weekend Conference is a three day program where high school juniors and seniors get a first hand look of what Texas A&M University is all about. Students visit a class, tour campus, attend a Yell Practice and cheer on the Aggie baseball team.
Aggie-STEM Summer Camp (middle & high school students)
The Aggie Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) hosts an annual summer camp for middle and high school students. The summer camp provides students real-world experiences in STEM education through project-based learning, improves SAT scores and offers a world-class university experience with Texas A&M professors.
Activities include:

- Circuit Design

Students may choose from 3 different options, including the two-day camp options or the residence hall stay option.
Camp ARCH (SO, JR, SR)
Camp ARCH is a weeklong interdisciplinary experience that acquaints students with potential careers in architecture, visualization, construction science, landscape architecture and urban planning.
Summer Educational Enrichment in Math (SEE Math) Camp (6th - 8th Grade)
The SEE Math Camp is a summer educational enrichment program geared for students who are gifted in mathematics and science, and allows them to build upon activities that they may have learned in school.
Summer Opportunities in Aerospace Research (SOAR) (JR, SR)
Camp SOAR is a five-day summer camp designed to expose upcoming high school juniors and seniors with an interest in Aerospace Engineering to the research and facilities at Texas A&M’s Department of Aerospace Engineering (AERO). During the week in College Station, students will be able to explore the field though design projects and departmental tours. They will have the opportunity to interact with current students and utilize world-renowned faculty. A program application is required. Please check the program website for the application deadline.
