Accept your offer of admission by registering for your New Student Conference (NSC) in the Applicant Information System (AIS).
If you do not register for an NSC by the deadline, we will assume you have declined your offer and cancel your admission. Please note, that accepting your financial aid package or registering for on-campus housing does not mean that you have accepted your offer of admission. Those processes are independent from NSC registration.

We consider registration for an NSC a confirmation that you will be attending Texas A&M. If you decide not to attend after registering for a conference, please cancel your admission on the Howdy Portal via the Applicant tab, Manage Applications. Your conference fee is non-refundable.

Your NSC is a critical component of your future success as an Aggie and marks the start of your academic journey! During your NSC you will have the opportunity to register for courses, meet with your academic advisor review your degree plan, and start building your community with other incoming students. Not only do you get a first glance at your upcoming semester, but you also get to deep dive into student services and extracurricular activities Texas A&M has to offer for all Aggies.

Yes, family members any guests are welcome to attend, but they must register.

Click the reschedule button on the My App Status tab in AIS. Only NSCs with available seats will be displayed.

NSC fees are required and non-refundable. Your fee can be deferred if you used an application fee waiver for the admission application. Choosing this option allows you to register for your NSC without making an immediate payment. The NSC fee will then be added to your tuition bill.

The MPE is a multiple-choice, online examination that helps your academic advisor determine which math course you should take to ensure academic success in your major. All incoming freshmen are required to complete the MPE. The location and rules for when and where you will take the MPE depends upon the college/department to which you are admitted. All students are encouraged to take two practice exams. To take the MPE, visit the Howdy Portal and go to the Applicant tab.

The CPM is a preparatory module that aims to ensure students have the foundational skills necessary to succeed in their entry-level Chemistry coursework. These are primarily algebra-based mathematics skills. All undergraduate students required to take CHEM 119 (including but not limited to pre-med, pre-vet, animal science, nutrition, biology, biomedical science, public health, chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science and engineering, geology, mathematics, neuroscience, and kinesiology majors) should complete the CPM prior to registering for CHEM 119. That means, all incoming freshmen who plan to register for CHEM 119 are expected to complete the CPM prior to attending their NSC.

Although there will not be a hold preventing registration for the Fall semester, we expect completion of the CPM to 90% to increase your chance of success in CHEM 119. Failure to achieve this may indicate a deficiency in math skills, potentially impacting your performance in the course.

Your TSI status will be noted in AIS. If you are not exempt, you must complete the mandatory Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) and then take the TSI Assessment Test before attending an NSC. Non-exempt students will be blocked from registering for all classes during their NSC until the TSI PAA has been completed, the TSI Assessment Test has been taken and scores are on file at Texas A&M. You may also provide qualifying SAT or ACT scores in order to gain exemption from the TSI, however these must be on file and you must be marked exempt before attending an NSC. If you have taken the TSI Assessment Test anywhere other than Texas A&M, please do not assume that your test scores have been sent here.

If you are a Texas resident then you must select your rate code before attending your NSC. Go to the Howdy Portal, click the icon labeled ‘Howdy Checklist’ at the top, then choose the ‘Undergraduate Tuition Rate Code Selection’ checklist item to make your selection. The choice will be offered prior to your first semester of enrollment and cannot be changed in future semesters.

Proof of vaccination should be provided to Med+Proctor at least two weeks prior to your NSC. You will not be able to check in for your conference or register for classes until this requirement is met.

No, but a request to change your major must be made at least 7 days prior to your NSC and is never guaranteed. You may request a change of major on the Howdy Portal via the Applicant tab, Manage Applications. Some majors have enrollment limits and only available majors will be displayed. 
Note: A change of major may require changing your NSC Date.
Note: Students admitted directly to Blinn TEAM, Engineering at Blinn, Engineering at Galveston or to the Higher ​Education Center at McAllen are not eligible to change majors.

Student Business Services handles all billing related to your tuition. They also provide helpful information on loans, payment due dates and instructions for how to get your Aggie Student ID Card.

You can use our Transfer Course Equivalency, which allows students to see how courses might transfer to Texas A&M University. In order to receive credit, you must request that each college where credit was earned send a copy of your transcript(s) to Texas A&M University.

Some colleges may be able to submit transcript(s) electronically on your behalf using SPEEDE, National Student Clearing House, Parchment or through another 3rd party vendor utilized by your college. Connect with your institution's Registrar's Office to request an official transcript to be sent to us on your behalf. Official college transcripts may also be submitted by your college through the Common App, by mail or hand-delivered to the Aggie One Stop.

If you took an advanced placement test in May, scores will not be received by Texas A&M University until mid-July. Students should review the AP/IB course equivalency and only accept AP credit after consulting with their academic advisor.
