Housing

Moving to College Station...

As a freshman out of high school, moving out of your parents home can be stressful. We want to help make the transition as easy as possible. There are two types of housing at Texas A&M, on-campus and off-campus. Both types each have their strong points, but it's up to you to decide which is best for you.
ON-CAMPUS HOUSING

Living on campus is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to live in a community of individuals with different interests, cultures, lifestyles and attributes. The residence hall staff helps the students adjust to a living and learning community that will enhance their academic, personal and educational successes. Accepting the responsibility for making good decisions, practicing good citizenship and developing a tolerance for the values of others will help ensure success at Texas A&M.

When to apply for on-campus housing

As soon as you receive your acceptance letter to A&M, visit reslife.tamu.edu to apply for housing on campus. There you will find details of the residence halls and various housing options available to you.

OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING

Living off-campus can be just as enriching as on-campus. You will have more freedom in where and who you live with, but you will also have more responsibilities involved with living off-campus.

The Adult, Graduate, and Off-Campus Student Services can assist you in finding housing off-campus.

We do encourage you to learn more about the cities of Bryan and College Station to make an informed decision about where you live.
