Texas A&M Regents’ Scholarship

The Regents Scholarship program is designed to assist first-generation students, whose total family income is less than $40,000 per year, in achieving their educational goals at Texas A&M. Awards are generally $5,000 per year for up to four years. An initial offer will be made based upon the student’s admission application. The offer is contingent, however, upon the completion of the FAFSA and verification of total family income. Your eligibility is determined by the Texas Common Application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline for FAFSA submission to allow for consideration for this program is March 1, 2006.

The Foundation Excellence Award

The Foundation Excellence Award was created to increase diversity in the undergraduate student body. Each award provides up to $2,000 per year for up to four years. The Texas A&M Foundation is a private, independent, nonprofit corporation that directs fundraising in support of Texas A&M University, and as such may legally consider ethnicity in awarding scholarships. For more information and to apply, contact the Texas A&M Foundation at (979) 847-8700, ext. 160, or online at giving.tamu.edu/content/tamufoundation/fea.php. The application deadline is February 15, 2006.
