Required Documents
All required documents must be received (not postmarked) by Freshman Admissions Processing by the appropriate closing date. Please send us:
To ensure that your official transcripts and other supporting documents are processed in a timely and efficient manner, please include the appropriate Document ID Sheet with all documents you submit in support of your application. Click here to download the Document ID sheets.
- A completed Apply Texas Application. Apply online at www.applytexas.org
- Essay Topics. Students are required to complete Essays A and B on the Apply Texas Application. Additionally, students who do not qualify for top 10% or automatic academic admission are strongly recommended to complete Essay C on the Apply Texas Application.

A nonrefundable $60 processing fee or fee waiver. Make checks payable to Texas A&M University. Credit card payments will be charged a nonrefundable
transaction fee. Fee waivers are given to students submitting an SAT/ACT fee waiver form or documentation of need from your high school counselor.

An official high school transcript with class rank. If your school does not rank, a school profile from your high school must be provided as part of the
application file. Students who are still in high school (including home-schooled students) must submit an official transcript listing courses, units of
credit per course, and grade per course at least through the junior year. Students who have graduated from high school (including home-schooled students)
must submit an official transcript that also includes senior courses and date of graduation. To be considered official, a transcript must have an original
signature of a school official or an original school seal. Faxed, scanned or emailed copies will not be accepted.

SAT or ACT scores. Applicants must provide scores from either SAT or ACT. All SAT or ACT tests must include the scores of the writing component.
Your highest test score from one test date will be used. Texas A&M does not allow combined test scores from different test dates.
Scores should be sent directly from the testing agency. The Texas A&M University SAT code is 6003 and the ACT code is 4198.
Texas A&M University offers the institutional SAT/ACT exam through Measurement and Research Services,
www.tamu.edu/mars.

A Permanent Resident Card or I551 (if applicable). Students who are not U.S. citizens, but are permanent residents (or have applied for permanent residency),
need to provide a copy of the card. A copy of the parent/guardian's Permanent Resident Card is also required, if applicable.
- Affidavit of Intent to become a Permanent Resident (if applicable).
