Counselor's Opportunities

Counselors’ Summer Institute (C.S.I.)

Counselors’ Summer Institute is designed to bring counselors to the campus of Texas A&M University and show them the opportunities available to prospective students in the various academic colleges as well as acquaint them with other extracurricular activities and support services. Invitation and registration information is sent via email in April. Spaces are limited so early registration is encouraged.

Texas Together Counselor Updates

Counselor Updates offer high school counselors the latest information about admissions and academics from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Austin. Counselors will receive materials regarding admissions and scholarships, and they will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the admissions offices and other student services. Registration information is available in the summer. Spaces are limited and registration is required.

High School Counselor Listserv

The Office of Admissions has created an email listserv for guidance counselors. Important announcements and information are sent out periodically to listserv subscribers. To subscribe, send an email to listserv@listserv.tamu.edu. In the body of the email, type SUBSCRIBE hs-counselors-1 firstname lastname. For example, SUBSCRIBE hs-counselors-1 Joe Aggie.

TACRAO Sponsored College Fairs

Throughout the state, you will find our staff at all TACRAO sponsored college fairs. Please encourage your students to visit with us, and we will assist them with the application process.

Regional Prospective Student Centers

Texas A&M University has Prospective Student Centers throughout the state where students can meet one-on-one with an advisor to learn more about admissions, academic programs, financial aid, housing and student services at Texas A&M University.
